  OCTOBER  I just finished a two week run of   The Prisoner   at the Teatro Vittoria in Rome. I really enjoyed it and the audience was so warm. The next performances will be in the U.S (Yale & New York).

  SEPTEMBER  I have started the three week run as Ezechiel in Peter Brook’s new play   The Prisoner   at  The National Theatre.  What an amazing experience to be working with such an incredible man and director and also to be at  The National Theatre.

  SEPTEMBER  Last year I got my first part in a new television drama series for  BBC 2 and Netflix  called   ‘Black Earth Rising’.   It is a new war crimes thriller starring Michaela Coel, John Goodman and Harriet Walter. The first episode will be aired on Monday 10th September. I will appear in the second episode (17th September) as a hitman.   TRAILER.

Last year I got my first part in a new television drama series for BBC 2 and Netflix called ‘Black Earth Rising’. It is a new war crimes thriller starring Michaela Coel, John Goodman and Harriet Walter. The first episode will be aired on Monday 10th September.   AUGUST  International cast for Peter Brook’s new play   The Prisoner.   Rehearsals took place at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris. From left to right: -  Hiran Abeysekera  from Sri Lanka -  Hervé Goffings   - Donald Sumpter  ( seen as Maester Luwin in season 1 & 2 of  Game of Thrones  ). - Kalieaswari Srinivasan from India (seen in  Dheepan  that won the palm d'or at the International Film Festival in Cannes in 2015). - And Omar Silva from Mexico.

  AUGUST   I took part in a short film titled FEAR. Written and directed by Stephan Erdman and produced by Mungo Films, it tells the true story of André, a migrant of African descent who just arrived in Dover and has nowhere to spend the night. I played André.

  JULY   I had a great time shooting my first commercial for the antiperspirant Soft & Gentle at the East London studios. It is shown on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram.  See the ad.

  MAY   I took part in an interesting video project called  The Other Solos . It is a series of Shakespeare monologues that deal with issues of identity, migration, power and exile, performed by actors whose mother tongue is not English. This project was developed in response to recent world events and the increasing sentiment against migration in the media and Western society. To see the video please  click here.
